[simpits-tech] Forming polycarb..

To properly form the polycarbonate you may think about building a frame to
have the polycarb conform to much as Gene and I did with the Acrylic we used
to do the glare shield. Build a structure similar to the one I built for the
canopy cover for the F-15. I does not need to be a permanent as that but
only to give the rough shape.

Construct a box to cover the framing structure, add a heater of some type
maybe a space heater at one end. Poly-Carb melts at around 320 degree f if I
remember correctly. You will be constructing an oven to heat the poly.

There are some other items that may be useful to you in forming the poly
including heater tapes to help in forming more complex shapes try this link

plastics including drill bits and heaters.
