Hi Marv,

Thanks to those who said nice things about the F-111 Pictures ( and thanks
to Gene for uploading them) That is F-111 number two out of three. The first
one is an F-111D which has a semi Glass cockpit ( so called MK II Avionics
suite) and is totally differnt. I usually take the D model to Airshows along
with the Ejection seats as a nice display.
I wish you could feel how it feels to close the hatches, and turn on the
power and have the avionics fans, airconditioning blowers, and gyros spin
up. Also there are about a thousand ways to set up the lighting with five or
six dimmers and sepreate floodlights and thunderstorm lights. The warnign
lights are also everywhere. To really experience it you have to sit in it,
If anyone is in the DFW area and a Simpits Member Id be happy to set up a
sitting ;)
I do need to get it our of storage where it has been since last year. Ill do
that soon.
I have the cockpit blueprints in hand and am figuring out how to prepare the
info to be shared on the site, or to be put on Martin Scmidts F-16
compendeum. I really like that one stop source of Viper info...
Either way, all of you who asked me for the data will get it. I have you all
marked down, and will individually send you the info. Just give me a bit of
time to prepare all of it.
