HI Brian,

I did some intital research on the web and found some items, Ill have to =
look them up. Most of what cranfeild has they keep close to their vest ( =
expensive proprietary research gave them thier algorythims)
I have a non- Discloseure signed with them.
They do have a website: www.cranfieldaerospace.com

I really enjoyed their place last month. I got to go on a test flight in =
a fully instrumented Bae Jestream and did some wild flying in it while =
getting to read the instruments.
They also have a full up 747 simulator with wide view visuals. Lots of =
toys there!

The 1800 psi was in reference to the older hydralic systems for G =
cueing....I agree with your terror in that!
IF 1800 psi line sprang a leak near you it would shoot hot high pressure =
toxic hydralic fluid into your body like a hot knife thru butter...not =
to mention hydralic things always leak. I spend way to much time making =
my cockpits look nice to introduce that crap into them!

I do know that the vertical axis must be capable of at least 40 hz ( =
fairly high performance for an actuator)

I would love to hear how your system turns out!
Just for reference, before I came along to cranfield, their systems cost =
well in excess of six figures...I gave them a lower cost option from =
buying a real ejection seat. They either got real ones or bought =
expensive replicas from a UK company ( NO MORE)

I forgot to send home a picture of my replica line of seats. I will try =
to do so tommorow. I had a very hectic day at work today!

CHeers,

Chris W

Hi Chris, Many thanks for your detailed and thought provoking run =
down. It gives me quite a bit to ponder on.
Do you happen to know if Cranfield Aerospace put out any technical =
literature or have you come across any published research?
The system I have in mind is a closed loop with positive evacuation of =
each bladder using around 25psi. The thought of 1800psi made me =
involuntarily cross my legs. =20
  Best regards, Brian West.
