Yes :) lucky my parents were away for a month. I moved the pit to the lounge
room!

They are back this friday...and since everyone started doing the show and
tell. Here's mine...

My F16 fold up pit just got the 2 x1 15 inches monitor mounted into the
front dash. All work well and I havent got electric shock that thrown me
half way across the room yet :) touch wood. I have finally came up with a
solution to allow the side panel to fold so a person can get in and out of
the pit easier.

Like the design you guys saw on Wombat's pit where the side panel fold out
sideways...I cant afford such luxury and the room of that kind of
movement...so I thought i got vertical. Got tomorrow and thrusday off so
that's exactly what I will try to do. Make the F16 side and aux panel on
either side fold back upward on a pivot at the back of the ACE II. Abit like
a lambogini I guess with the fold up doors but back ward hehe. I just hold
they work out ok.

After that is done. Will mount throttle and joytsick into the pit. And also
do the glare shield infront. Hopefully, in about 2 days. my pit will have
its first realistic flight in Sp3. Then I am going to buy the Xkey matrix
chip to start wiring up switches. When Marv's knobs are ready and if the
price is right. Send them downunder :) and I will install them.

Gene, you got 1008sq ft of shop and u still dont have enough room? well....
what can I say..."you bastard". haha. Is there such thing as enough room for
a simpit builder? You are right... A fold up pit would be a way to go. Once
I was joking with a friend...how about an inflatable pit? Maybe if you fill
it up with helium. It can actually take off :)

Brian, how's the B1b mod coming along? Your dorm will probably be smaller
than mine...but I also share my room with my brother. LOL you should see
when we fight about the phone line...I want to fly when he wants to use the
phone to call his girlfriend! LOL

Andreas, trust me... Look on it on the bright side. At least your girlfriend
take you in with your cockpit attached :) Once I was dating a girl...and she
asked me...what have you been up to? I almost slipped and said...I have been
building my cockpit...haha. I know she wouldnt get what I was talking about.
SO I said. I have been busy doing my electronic project...now everytime she
calls or socialising in the public she always ask...how's your electronic
thingy going? haha. Everyone will look at me funny thinking what on
earth?!?!

I have a dream...that one day I will be a rich designer and have a warehouse
apartment to run my design business in. A full workshop space like what Marv
have. With air conditioning like Rod got and about a 1000 sq ft of space to
play with. an optional midlife upgrade with a female associate who tolerate
my aviation obession. They are more trouble than trying to hook up
electronics in my pit. haha. At least I know the electronic will respond
properly if I did my best to get it right. LOL

Good to hear about everyone's progress.
