Hi all,

On my workbench... Not much at all lately. I'm in a slow phase right now. A
lot of other things have my attention at the moment. But I'll get back to
the pit eventually...

The pit itself is presently parked in our second bedroom. Well out of sight
from guests, much to my girlfriend's delight. She has a way of referring to
my project as "that d-mned cockpit". Not sure what she means by it... *lol*

The pit consists of the following - A wooden base, 60x150 cm. A second-hand
rally bucket seat, with slide-motion back and forth. A center-mounted,
scratch-built stick, featuring an FLCS handle with re-wired switches. And
last but not least a front console with two large square holes in it, to be
filled by a couple of 15" monitors. I have made a couple of sketches for the
switch panels too, but nothing finished yet. On top of the front panel I
will put a 17" monitor to use as the out-of-the-window display.

I plan to run mainly FS2k2 in my pit. It will be a glass-type cockpit,
possibly with imitated analog instruments as well. I will use a combination
of stock FS gauges and FreeFD.

A future upgrade is naturally side consoles, but I am trying to take things
a step at a time...
