One more note:
If you're going to put motion to your sim AND the motion does not follow the
visual cues within 20 ms AND the motion is not 'good' enough to fool your
brain: you're going to be sick!!
please note that 'stick following' motion is not 'good' enough. It's fun for
a while but not after you get sick.
Erwin.

(IMHO the best solution I have seen so far: electric actuators, with cool
demo videos)

True ..
My aim for this pit is not to replicate a Full military type training
simulator , for 1 i dont have the resources and brains to strech my self
that far .
I had a great chance to fly a modem military simulator on the base , it was
great , had a ball the visual ques were brilliant sounds excellent , infact
the ride was so good that about 5 mins into my aerobatic routine i started
to feel ill ( IN a SIM )
What i want to do is create a simulator where i can plonk a Airforce cadet
in the cockpit fire up the sim and let them fly around as experience ,
unfortuntly giving them lots of real air time is very expensive at the
moment, the sim doesnt have to be exactly smooth on the visual ques react
exactly as per a real aircraft , this will basically ben used as a
proceedual trainer , in instrument flying and radia nav aid work .
I know that if i hopped into a sim as a pilot i would feel the difference
after a period of time but the people with no pilot/ flying experience or
even advanced theory, will i believe enjoy them selfs and enjoy there
learing experience , thats why i am not to fussed with getting a "
gramatical " correct simulator straight away , in time it will be developed
.
this is IMHO i could be wrong or barking up the wrong tree
i will try and dig up some didital pics of the LINK trainer and up load them
to the simpits server if any one is interested , for a machine built pre
war its pretty complex
thanks all
regards
BEN

I once considered a joystick driven sim-Without getting technical the
problem is when you are flying a lame aircraft,
or suffering battle damage. A joystick only motion control reflects a
perfect world.
