Thanks Ben, Marv and Steve for the reply,

a 2 mm gap sounds right. I suppose the tiny gap Marv mentioned is a good =
way to judge. The only issue is if I cut out the panel and leave a tiny =
gap for the paper to slip through, light sources which I will use =
beneath the panels itself will also come through. I suppose in the real =
thing that does not happen due to the fact that the panels are =
backlidded differently?

I have decided to experiment with a couple of low power/ low heat light =
bulbs. Similar concept to a light table. "Huston, we might have a =
problem" :) let me have another think before I start chopping away.

Cheers,

Albert

  Hello Albert,
  =20
I can't confirm your question for sure, but I checked all my pictures =
I have from the Viper-pit and all this stuff are showing small gap =
between the left-side panels (horizontally and vertically) - I =
considered the distances with 2mm within my drawings.

    Hi all F16 pitters,

I run into a small problem...or rather a small question mark in my =
head tonight.

The left side panel in the pit...each "individual" black panels for =
all the switches and knobs...are they mounted "edge to edge" next to =
each other? or do they have a "small" gap inbetween?

Cos' from the photo resources i have seen. They do appears to. =
However, in a black and white plan (that 2mb BMP file) it looked as if =
they had a small space inbetween them.

    Can anyone verify that?

    Many thanks.
