Heheh, same here, I remember 22-year-old me hacking around on the GEM 
sources, trying to make my own variant separate from FreeGEM...

Still been thinking from time to time about trying to do that Atari ST 
emulator I was planning on a decade or so ago, but it's never gotten off 
the ground.
