[GEM Development] lets talk about it!

Ah.. let me explain.

Joe Bloggs resides in IP range X and Y.. and sends mail regularly from
this.
You get to know there hosts, and more importantly the email server host
they use :)
In the "FROM IP" portion of a mail header, you will note the Sender IP
as well.. yes, but my main point was near that area is one to see the
mail server sent from.

So Joe bloggs [210.13.11.100] sends mail all the time and uses
[mail.netspace.net.au]
But one day.. he pops up as
Joe Bloggs [113.3.99.234] and uses [mail.somespammyserver.com]... kinda
stands out doesn't it?

With horde, I have a setup that will differentiate if certain header
parts are not acceptable.
For example: everyone who has access to my cd at 4am.org address.. is
automatically filtered if they are on an acceptable mail server addy. So
if user = bla and mailserver = blog then show me the mail?

Clear it up a bit ?

Cheers,
Chris.

Hmm, I don't understand; how does knowing the sender's IP help?
