Shane Land is proud to announce the release of GEMini, a GEM file commander
for the masses!

Shane Land GEMini is a tiny GEM distribution (only 580kb when installed)
that gives full graphical file management to FreeDOS users. It allows you
to view files in multiple resizable windows, drag and drop files from one
place to another, and to delete them in a nifty little trashcan.

Shane Land GEMini is something special in the way of file management tools.
Instead of being built from the ground up as a barely graphical file tool,
it is actually a slimmed down version of the powerful OpenGEM GUI
distribution. It is based on stable and mature code that has evolved over
the last 20 years in both commercial and opensource environments, and it
runs on almost every PC that has ever been made.

Shane Land GEMini will run on any PC from an 80086 and above as long as DOS
2.0 or above is installed. You need only 256kb of RAM and 580kb hard disk
space to install it.

Shane Land GEMini runs perfectly with FreeDOS Beta 9 (all variants).
Indeed, it is intended to be a perfect file commander tool for this DOS
version.

You can download Shane Land GEMini Release 1 from http://gem.shaneland.co.uk

It is freeware, and released under the GNU GPL license (revision 2.0).

Regards

Shane
