The sad but TRUE part is the entire C-130 AMP project was cancelled, AFTER<br>
all the R&D was done, AFTER all the testing was done, AFTER that sim was<br>
built, and AFTER the first several COMPLETED airframes were delivered.<br>

They decided (AFTER all this was paid for) that it would be too expensive,<br>
and they scrapped the entire project. Starting from scratch on a "less<br>
expensive" option to modernize the C-130 fleet.<br>
