This is as close as I got to solving the problem.
Using a 50.00 photo player with composite and/or SVHS " in " would do
fine. Sometimes you can find those car DVD players with two monitors cheap too.
The second monitor is ready to go, and the first can be used with a bit of
jigging around as well. Total about 75.00 a screen. But only one screen per
computer unfortunately. If your only looking to make two glass instrument panels
that shouldn't be a problem. (only two computers)

perhaps S-Video. Some of them even have mini 1/8" phone plugs for
video in. Depending on what they are, you can either get a TV card (all in
wonder etc), but I don't know how you'd interface that with X-Plane or FS.
Alternative is to search for the pin-outs and try to wire them up the way
you like. But if the monitor won't turn on, you have bigger issues to
deal with. Stripping the screen out to operate stand-alone is paramount to
asking a car to go down the road 60 miles an hour without an engine. The
"screen" being the "car". There is an inverter, and a PSU and backlighting
and everything else in an LCD monitor. If none of those things work, that
is why they are cheap. Because they aren't useful for anything except
spare parts.
