I am using real general aviation headsets in our sims. When the sound comes from teamspeak to a sim I need it to not go through the simulator's main sounds system. However, It has to transmit from the sims main computer so that buttons on the throttle can be used to toggle the transmit function. I have been using a laptop for sound input to the headsets to keep the sound separate from the computer that runs the sims main sound. The USB sound card might allow me to ditch the laptop and run the sound through the main comuter because you can select in Teamspeak where it transmits and receives sound. Sorry if I didnt explain it well...
