thanks for the input on my painting problem. some things i did not make

clear (so to speak):<br><br>

i'm painting the panels on the backside, but looking at them from the

front. if i try to sand the backside, i'm afraid i'll be looking at

sanding marks from the front side.<br><br>

the lexan has been amazingly resistant to chemical action, and i did

manage to remove the paint once without _much_ trouble. i introduced more

scratches with the mechanics of the removal process, itself. the tolulene

didn't seem to touch it at all. i really think the paint reacted with

itself, and because it wasn't &quot;attached&quot; to the lexan, managed

to lift itself off fairly easily.<br><br>

i'm not concerned with incredible adhesion, since the painted side will

be on the back of the panel (and protected from any scratches, or things

that will scratch it).<br><br>

this is definitely a case of reading all the labels to find an

appropriate match. <br><br>

that, and lots of testing on scrap materials. lexan is _definitely_ a

different animal from styrene or even plexiglass.<br><br>
