(EPIC). A six position switch, six button inputs. Hairy code

Virtually any knob in your pit that you turn to make adjustments (as opposed
to a potentiometer that you would turn to adjust volume or brightness) such as
a radio tuner, HDG or OBS knobs, the Kohlsman knob on the altimeter, the
course, speed and altitude setting knobs on the autopilot, transponder code
selector, etc etc etc would all be rotary encoders.
<BR><BR> There are alternatives such as
Knitter switches, but as a general rule, anything you want to be able to 'dial
