[simpits-tech] news from lomac

You know, with the total cash outlay represented by the simpitters on
this list alone, you'd think "target market" accompanied by repeated
cash register sounds would have been the first thing flying into the
minds of any software company managers who heard about us.

Building data export functionality into the architecture from the
initial specs really adds very little to the coding time, and once
they've got me invested in hardware and interface software specifically
tied to their product, I'm in much the same boat as any corporate
AutoCAD user - when the next rev comes out, as long as it still works
with my setup I'm locked-in market share and represent an almost
guaranteed revenue stream. MSFS has been open for a while (dunno about
CFS), and now the LOMAC folks, but does anyone know of any car racing
sims with hooks for external instruments, or mech-war sims, or
massive-multi sims, or anyone else making any effort along these lines?

I would think going after long term market and revenue would be part of
any good business plan - but what do I know, I don't have an MBA.
