Actually, it is easy. There are a number of third-party hardware chips and
boards available. Gene is working with Chester using a Phigit (or however
that is spelled) USB board that is already available.
The USB port on the host computer (the one running the sim) drives the board
via USB. I don't know how many servos the board drives, but it is many.
