I used the following version of the Pacific-C compiler:</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I used John Elliott's version of the
desktop (version 3.2.4-pacc11). The only modification I made when
recompiling was to modify the internal file viewer to use the
up/down arrow keys from the keyboard. (the handle_key() function in
deskapps3.c)</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I also used John's FreeGEM AES 3.00
alpha. Here I only changed for value of NM-FILES in gemlib.h so that
the file selection window would show the complete content of my
directories. (Sometimes I like to use John's AES 3.00 stable version
as the window zooming is different).</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">The appearance and such I
changed to my linking using settings.app and these are saved in the
gem.cfg file.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I also used the FreeGEM 3.00 VDI/GDOS
(Eathan Clark's modification of ViewMax/3 code). However, I stripped
out the bezier routines (just couldn't get the communication working
with my limited skills) and the use of the use of a gemsys.cfg file.
Thus it's back to the GEM3 code but compiles fine with jwasmd.exe or
the like and is smaller.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I used Heinz Rath's SVG screen driver but
recompiled to VGA resolution using jwasmd.exe (I like the VGA screen
for GEM which I think is easy on the eyes).</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Lastly, the OUTPUT.APP was something a
mindless experiment (please note I'm not a programmer and hobbies can
be illogical) as I disassembled the obj and lib files to recompile
with jwasmd.
