I downloaded /XM last night and have it running -- am still trying to
remember how one uses GEM, as it's a couple of years since I was trying
it regularly.<br>

I've got it on a Medion 42200 laptop, Centrino/Pentium M 1.7, 512mb
RAM, 80gb HDD, ATI graphics at 1024x768, running XP Pro with SP2.<br>

I tried to install Publisher, which I picked up from the Geocities
site, but its installer looks for an a: drive, which this laptop
doesn't have. Maybe it's already in the \GEMAPPS folder... But I did
get the paint program running fine.<br>

Then I realised that, if I didn't get to bed pretty quickly, I'd not
only be doing a Chris Dostal, but reinforcing my wife's opinion that I
should marry my laptop, so I'll report further next time I get a chance
to look.<br>

Thank you so much for this report. I'm going to see if I get the same
results on my laptop (ASUS 1.6gz Pmobile, 512mb RAM, 60gb hdd,
WindowsXP). If we get the same errors it'll be nice. By the way, can
you see what happens when you try to go to Output? It should crash. I
mean, it shouldn't crash, but it's likely to...
