shit...i didn't realise how long the u.s.a. had had broadband speeds - we only got broadband last september (2004) - mainly because our local telephone exchange thingy needed to be upgraded and we couldn't get anything higher than an 7/8kbit/s d/l speed before on a 28k and a 56k modem! annoying.
