There is a new Internet-based online service called GEMCIS (GEM Computer  
Information Service) that lets GEM/FreeGEM/OpenGEM users access news,  
weather, computer tips, travel information, and other online pages rather  
quickly. It requires a packet driver and 640x350 or higher resolution, and  
connects over your existing ISP or Local Area Network.

It is free, but donation-supported. No registration is needed. You can  
download the GEM software required to access it at http://gemcis.info/  
There is also a set of three new GEM programs (area code, country code,  
and character code lookups) available for download at the same site.

Interesting idea.  How about a pre-configured VMWare or VirtualBox machine 
that people could download in order to run GEM on their existing Linux or 
Windows machines?

Screenshots would be neat too. :)

Sorry, but I don't have much time to spend working on this project more,  
and the way I have GEM set up doesn't allow for screenshots. If anyone  
would be willing to take 2-4 screenshots of GEMCIS and email them to me,  
I'd really appreciate it.
