[GEM Development] GEM not going forward... Comments?

Hello José,

I have had some fun playing around with the FreeGEM code that has been published on the web.  It has mostly been a therapeutic exercise or hobby as it is the only bit of programming I do.   Simple stuff, but If you like you can take a look at

Hello again and happy new year to everyone.

I've been waiting these weeks for news on OpenGEM 7, updates on Shane's
site, and/or the fixing of the primary GEM Wiki, in order to open an account
and begin to extend its information... but nothing has changed so far.

I'm somewhat disappointed, as I thought I could be of some help to the
project. As of the wiki, I can deal with Linux, MySQL and MediaWiki, if it
were possible to help remotely in fixing it, or in making wiki2 the primary
one, or even in providing a new web hosting and setting up a new wiki. I was
also thinking about translating and maybe some programming. But it would be
nonsense and impossible to do all that alone and without help nor
information.

I've seen this list has 91 members. I don't know how much interest is
left
on the project for all of us, but I would like to know. Maybe there are some
people like me willing to help a bit with things that the rest currently has
no time to spent in, in order to relaunch the GEM project.

Anyway... I look forward to your answers about what's going on, and
I'll try
my best to help keeping GEM alive.
