Very cool assembly video. The motion envelope test at the end is a mind
blower!

Time Off: \ tyme off \ , Activity.

1. Change of working environment or subject designed to fool an employee
into thinking they are actually getting definition 2.

2. Fictitious scenario whereby the pressures and demands of a working
environment are put on hold whilst the employee relaxes, re-charges his or
her batteries - and generally enjoys themselves.

Yep. I only wish it was a close up. I still can't tell if there's a
solid surface or an open space behind it. :)

I can't lay claim to this one - someone posted it in the huge collimation
thread we've got going over at mycockpit.org. It's a nice forum if you
turn on adblock and ignore the fact that the guy that owns it is a huge
prat. :)

I saw a program on TV a few years back about CAE and the mylar(?) mirror
surface was so cool to see. I'm pretty much certain that it's a solid
backing.

I might even have the program on DVD - I'll have a look tonight.

I can remember thinking "Gosh - that's mighty clever" when I saw how they
did it.

However, I have less memory retention than a goldfish so....

However, I have less mem... you get the idea.

I can but look!

Note the climb to 15,000 Meters (just over 49,000 feet), 8 minutes 15
seconds. That's a SUSTAINED rate of climb of 6,000FPM to almost 50,000
feet! Record set in 1988, still current. :P

Interesting side note, last time I deployed that tail, 3554, was out
there. It's the only Active Duty tanker I'm aware of that still has nose
art (the Cherokee Rose). Also while I was there, it got struck by
lightning, blew off a couple panels near the HF antenna on the tail!
lol. I was up while it happened, heard the chatter on the radio. Got
some pics of the damage around here somewhere.... They ended up pulling
the HF probe antenna off and flying it back to the states like that for
repairs. Looked really weird without that big probe on the tail.
