That's Ivar Hestnes visual setup, he created three 75 degree views in
FSX, then outputs to a TH2G and then to three wide angle projectors.
The curved screen alignment software is NTHUSIM. He has a web site

That's the same software I'll be using soon. I have one LCD to install
and all three projectors will be done.

Do you know what the process is for setting up specific views like that in
FSX? He did mention in the post where that was shown that he's using 5
undocked windows...

He switched from five to 3 to get rid of the some of the black
vertical lines between views and regain Frame Rate. Now each
projector is projecting one view. If you had the room you could use
three 90 degree FOV's for 270 degrees.

He explained the process of how to set up the views in FSX, it was to
complex just to post, I think he will do a step by step to his web
site once he gets everything worked out.

Ivar posted a feature request to the Nthusim guys asking for something
that would allow for cropping the output in order to remove the frame.

Does FS9 have the same issue?

Right now I don't think you can.

Maybe create a fourth very tiny window (long & thin?) and put it at the
very bottom of the screen and hide it that way...

I just had an idea for you to try...

look for the [window.n] section in the .FLT file.
Add these lines:

[window.99]
order=00
active=true
undocked=true
screenunicoords=0,0,10,10
undoccoords=0,0,0,0

I haven't tested this - it's just a guess.

The good thing to play with is add a maximised=true line in there
somewhere, which only works on fullscreen, but it does work.

As for loosing the lines on the screen edges; try using the settings on
your projectors to stretch the image so that it is *just* larger than
the screen, putting the lines outside the projected visual. Did that
make *any* sense at all? (I'm on pretty good pain killers at the moment
so you'll have to excuse any not so lucid moments...)

I just had an idea for you to try...

look for the [window.n] section in the .FLT file.
Add these lines:

[window.99]
order=00
active=true
undocked=true
screenunicoords=0,0,10,10
undoccoords=0,0,0,0

I haven't tested this - it's just a guess.

Sean, the problem is that in order to get the view correct across a curved
screen, you need to break the video into (for example) 60 degree segments
in order to cover that 180 degree curved screen.

Crap... you're right. This was when I was experimenting with 3 spanned
video cards and projectors. You create the 3 undocked views, move them
to roughly where you want, with the field of view (or zoom factor to
achieve that field of view) and save the situation. Next go and edit
the .flt file to add the "maximised=true" line.....

If you are using TH2GO... well, then it's a whole new world :( I had
some success, and by playing around with the projector settings you can
stretch the picture to go outside the projected area. Then you just
have to build that overlap in to the view angles for the left and right
views and it should work. It would probably be hell on frames though :(

When I played with that kind of setup I built a PC with 3 8800GT video
cards, (quad SLI motherboards are not overly expensive nowadays) running
as separate displays in FS, that wasy you can configure each screen
independantly and use the maximise command.

Told you the drugs were messing with my thought process today <lol>

Patience Frank! ;)

I've got to solve the same exact problems - with the added issue that my
projectors are 17" wide and 30" long.

I'm going to try a "crossfire" experiment where the projectors are aimed
like this:

/|\

The left projector would aim to the right and the right would aim to the
left.

I've asked the owner of DIYProjectorKits.com what the FOV is for the 330mm
output triplet lens that my projectors use. Having that info will help me
get the screen design done. I'd like to be able to get 225, but that may
not be practical for the amount of space I have available. :) One screen
set has to be usable for the F-15 as well as the smaller cockpits.
