Hi Guys,
dunno if you checked my messages on VP but here i'm with a special solution made basically for the lucky ownsers of the real F-16 CMDS panel.

As you know interfacing the real milspec's display is really an hard and quite impossible job. there's no documentation and as they don't have an internal rom in which the characters are stored they need an external IC to display symbols.

So after long time and some money invested i decided to provide a special PCB that fits quite perfectly in the real CMDS, but using the most common and easy to interface OSRAM SLG 2016.

My own pcb is designed to be driven by Betainnovations Electronflx as a just plug and play solution but having i'm sure that it can be driven by any other board able to drive dot matrix displays.

the complete unit is sold with all the components soldered and fully tested.
it has
4 x SLG2016
4 x 0.1uF capacitors
7 x MS90451-6802 wirebulb lamps (5vdc @60mA)for the LEGEND
8 x MS60451-6802 wirebulb lamps for backlighting
1 x 20 pin header connector (to drive the OSRAM)
1 x 10 pin header connector (to drive legend and backlighting)

here some pictures with other lamps mounted on (it was the test board)
